our Story
Welcome to the marrawah inn
The Marrawah Inn has been known by many names but since we purchased it in September 2021, it became the Marrawah Inn.
The Inn was constructed circa 1913 originally as a boarding house and general store while obtaining its liquor licence in approximately 1925.
The close-knit community of Marrawah is a small township on the northwest coast of Tasmania and
known for its big swells for the Rip Curl West Coast Classic, and its rich surrounding beef farming and dairy enterprises.
The Inn has the only restaurant within a 50 km radius called the “Black Bull Bistro” and is now supported by a barista coffee machine for dine in or takeaway options.
We are one of the largest individual employers employing 19 locals who include 2 cooks, cleaners, 3 bar staff and the remaining are kitchen hands. The stability in staffing sees rosters completed monthly in advance.
